2025 has been incredibly disruptive for us, just like it has been for many small businesses. I’m really sorry that so many of you have been caught in the middle of it.
Studio Bad Egg relies on collaboration with overseas partners, and they’ve been hit hard by the changing tariffs and policies from the current US government.
Because these tariffs and rules keep changing, production at many factories has stalled, been paused, or even cancelled at random. That uncertainty has made it really difficult to keep things on schedule, and I know that’s not what you signed up for.
This has meant that all of our major campaigns from 2024 and 2025 have been delayed, and I know how disappointing and frustrating that is to hear after you’ve already waited so long. You’re not wrong to feel upset about it.

Eda The Owl Lady Kickstarter Campaign

For the Eda campaign, I want to be fully transparent about what happened.
We first received our shipment of Eda statues back in April, but when they arrived, ALL OF THEM were were damaged or broken. No Joke, you can view them all here.
You can see from the photos that they weren’t in a condition I’d ever feel okay sending to you. I know how long you’ve already been waiting, and opening a broken statue after all that time would feel awful.
Because of this, we had to go back and fight with the manufacturer to either remake the entire batch or fully refund it. That back-and-forth took a long time and was completely out of alignment with the timeline I wanted for you, and I’m really sorry you’ve been dragged along for that part of the process.
The good news is: the statues have now been remanufactured and are finally on their way to us by sea. The hard part is that, with so many companies trying to ship at the same time and uncertainty around government policy and tariffs, ocean freight is moving slower than usual. There is a real chance the Edas may not arrive in time for Christmas, and I don’t want to promise something I can’t guarantee.
All of the pins and the Baby Weh statue for this campaign are already complete and ready. However, they can’t ship out on their own yet, because they’re bundled with The Owl Lady statues for many backers. If we split everything and shipped separately, a lot of you would end up paying double shipping for the same order, and I don’t think that’s fair to you.
I know this is not the experience you hoped for, and you’re not wrong to feel frustrated, disappointed, or tired of waiting. I’m truly sorry for how long this has taken and for the stress it’s caused. As soon as the new Eda statues land and pass quality checks, we’ll get everything packed and shipped out as quickly as we can.

5th Anniversary Pin Preorder Campaign
Currently, everything is expected to ship in December 2025. Almost all of our pins are already on hand and ready to go, with the exception of a couple of designs that were accidentally missed by our manufacturer when reviewing the manifest. Those missing designs are now on their way to us, and we’ll be sending everything out as soon as they arrive.
Old stock and pin-only orders from previous collections were shipped out in September 2025.

IN PROGRESS:
BYEEE Multiverse Indiegogo Campaign
For the BYEEE campaign, we’re currently expecting figures to ship between Q1 and early Q2 2026 (this is still subject to change). I know that’s a long wait, and I’m really sorry for how drawn out this has become.
A big part of the delay comes from stalled production with our usual manufacturing partner, the same one that mishandled the Eda figures. After everything that happened there, we made the decision to switch to a new manufacturer for the BYEEE figures. This change is meant to ensure a higher standard of quality and give us more flexibility in dealing with the constantly shifting US–China tariff situation. Work with the new manufacturer is underway now, and final sampling is currently in progress.
All pins, keychains, prints, and smaller accessories for this campaign are already complete. However, they can’t ship on their own yet. Many backers have figures and smaller items combined in a single order, and splitting those shipments would mean paying shipping fees twice. For international backers, it would also mean being charged import and customs costs twice, which we’re trying very hard to avoid.
Because of the new and unpredictable tariffs, we’ve sadly reached the point where we need to ask BYEEE campaign backers to pay an additional tariff fee to protect their orders. These tariffs are only affecting the BYEEE campaign toys, no other campaigns are being charged this. We’re not charging this to profit from you; it’s to make sure your figures can clear customs and actually reach you instead of being held, returned, or destroyed.
If you haven’t already done so, please log in to your BackerKit account as soon as you can and make sure your tariff fee is paid. That will help us keep your order secure and ready to move the moment everything is produced and cleared.

DELAYED:
A-Ford-A-Bill Campaign
Currently, this campaign is expected to ship in Q2 2026. Because of the issues outlined above, especially the problems with our Eda and BYEEE figures, we’ve had to focus our resources on completing the older campaigns first. Once The Owl Lady figures are fully finished and out of production, we’ll be able to move this campaign properly through the production chain. Until then, our partners simply aren’t able to fulfill these items alongside everything else in progress.
Needing to have so much remanufactured and re-assembled this late in the year is not something we ever planned for, and I know this has created a much larger delay than anyone wanted. I’m genuinely sorry for how long this is taking, and while it feels awful to say, this has been unavoidable with the way things have unfolded.
The small silver lining is that we’re going to try to get the pins and art prints from this campaign out the door more quickly. Because this is a smaller collection, we should be able to absorb the extra shipping cost on our side. Our goal is to send these out alongside the 5th anniversary pins, so you’re not waiting on absolutely everything at once.
